Rakhi and Karva Chauth: timing the festivals of family
Rakhi is tied on the day of Raksha Bandhan, and Karva Chauth follows the moon. Both are family festivals, and both are timed by the panchang.
Overview
Rakhi: Sisters tie a rakhi on the brother's wrist, and the day is chosen for a good time. The panchang shows the timing in your city.
Karva Chauth: Many married women observe a fast from sunrise until the moon is seen. The moon's timing is the key, so the panchang is essential.
How to check: Check the panchang for Rakhi and Karva Chauth timing.
